Bible Reading Plans for Holy Week

Sometimes it’s nice to have a reading plan that takes you through a month or a semester, but other times it’s great to have something for one week. Here are a couple of reading plan options for Holy Week leading up to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

The first option is a five-day reading plan with YouVersion that can be read online or on the Bible app. Each day includes a passage from Scripture and a devotional on one person who walked through a wilderness and experienced God’s faithfulness in their trials or troubles. Finding God in the Wilderness. It’s material similar to but not found in Your Wilderness Is Not a Waste: God’s Purpose in Suffering and Struggles.

The second reading plan consists of daily related readings focused on Jesus and corresponding to the events of Holy Week. Each day includes an OT reading, a Psalm, a passage from Luke, and a Christ-centered text in Hebrews. If it’s too much, you can just follow along with the events from Jesus’s final week that correspond to the day of week from Luke’s gospel.
